Shovel
The guy never smiled the whole time and the woman was nothing but smiles. When I took out the camera they switched.

Manly.......
This wonderful lady was a proud lesbian and feminist. She was also a construction worker. She also told me she could bench press 150. She loved her drawing and gave me a mighty handshake, leaving me feeling slightly emasculated.

Skulley
People always present me with new challenges....
-
small and big
There's times I like to make visual comentaries on the size and shapes of people rather than just the features. This guy was so square shaped that she looked like a small tree next to a large building.
-
Freaky Tall
OK.....this was a reject. Mom thought I made him look like he was so tall that he was a "freak". He already told me he was only 13 years old(!!!) and that he had been playing basketball since he was 10. I had to look up to him as he was sitting in front of me. I turned to the kid and asked, "well, how tall are you?" He said "6' 10" (!!!!!). Some people will never understand.

Speedy precision
Sometimes it's not always an unbeleivable exaggeration that makes an amazing caricature. I did this one during a very busy summer day with something like eleven people in line. (read:pressure). I knocked this one out in around seven minutes. I didn't realize how well I got the likeness on her until I got home and looked at the picture.

Gushing Mom
Can you believe this girl is his MOM!?? Lucky kid. This mom was gushing over her kid the entire time despite looking like a slacker.....maybe she sees more than me. They were really nice though and loved the drawing.
-
chinny chin-chin
This guy reminded me of Lurch from the "Adams Family". His face broke from that solumn state when he bust out laughing when he saw it.
-
Downs syndrome
Drawings like these are never easy, not the execution, but the judgement of character......some people get super sensitive on the subject of drawing a mentally or physically handicapped person funny. In this case though, they were very jovial and care-free, and had no problem being drawn in a comical manner. I still cautiously waivered on the cute side though.

I only like you as a friend...
This guy and I had a great conversation, and when he saw his drawing, you would have thought I burned down his house. He told me in a terribly disappointed voice as he reluctantly paid for it, "at least you're really friendly". There's no pleasing everyone.
-
Show me your tough side.
I wanted this to be foreshortened even more to exaggerate his beefiness, but he was so happy he hugged me when he saw it.
-
King Curly
I spent more time on the hair than the face.
-
Holland Teenagers
Sometimes it's not only the features of the face that dictate the exaggeration in a caricature but body shapes and posture as well, as this one demonstrates. People from Holland have a great sense of humor.
-
Happy Mom
This lady and her nephew were really nice......her boyfriend told me to exaggerate her, so she got it. She liked it though.
-
super beard
-
fun with booty
This couple was awesome......both of them and their kids couldn't stop talking about how much the mom loves to show off her excessive posterior, and how much dad loves it. I had a huge crowd watching me do this one, and the reaction was priceless.

vampiricature
Unbelievable story......
The father of this child wanted to get him drawn, but passionately exclaimed, "I don't want him lookin' like some f*%#@ed up looking vampire!" I said, in complete jest, "No problem sir....I'd be happy to draw him. However, we do draw vampiricatures here, and he'll be a very cute vampire, but he will be a vampire". He said, "Cool, just don't make him f*#@%ed up." Completely oblivious to the joke, he loved it.
